Economic conference
Mondo Conta Consult participated at the Conference of Economic perspectives on the Romanian Market organized by CCIFER. We had the pleasure to be in the audience for many important spikers like:
Catalin Pauna – Senior Economist WB
In 2014 the Romania’s economy increased by 2.5% – 2.8%, which is the second largest one from Europe.
The macroeconomic equilibriums are very good, among the best ones of European Union countries – for instance, the fiscal deficit decreased from 9% in 2010 to 2.2% in 2014.
WB co-operates with Romanian Fiscal Agency (ANAF) in view of improvement of taxes collecting, especially in IT field.
Not only the public expenses decreased in 2014, but also the private ones, because there are not enough projects to be financed by the banks (there is no solvable demand for the funds offered by banks).
Mihaela Toader – General Director in the Minister of European Funds
The absorption degree of the European Funds increased from 7% in second semester of 2012 to around 55% in 2014 (!).
The Ministry will put the focus on prioritizing of the investments, current and future ones, according to their efficiency and added value brought. The same way will be managed the 1,300 Md EUR Juncker plan as well – Romania will receive in future years around 40 Md EUR for efficient projects in infrastructure, environment, developing of the competitiveness of the business environment, growing of occupying and training of the work force.
Benoit Gauthier – Economic Counselor of France Embassy
The recent agreement concluded by Romania with IFM, WB and European Commission does not include increases of taxes but puts the focus on the European co-financing.
French Ambassador, Mr Francois Saint-Paul
The result of the Presidential elections has generated an enthusiastic feed-back from the international community. There is an optimistic view regarding the Romania’s near future.
